Here's a picture showing the current progress of the renovation, to update everyone on the latest developments.

This photo was taken on Friday, August 30th , at East Point City in Tseung Kwan O. The flooring was already finished, the air conditioning was ready , the back partition was almost complete, and the walls were leveled. I believe it's nearing completion! In fact, renovations started on August 19th , and just over two weeks have passed—that's about 10 working days (because renovations aren't allowed on weekends). The project is already halfway complete, so it might be finished around mid-September, taking a total of four weeks.

This leads to the next question: when is the best time to open the shop?

As usual, I asked my uncle to choose an auspicious date. This time, two dates were chosen, one before the other, nine days apart. My uncle said the earlier date was better and more suitable for me, but unfortunately, the colleague in charge of staffing said we should open the shop on the earlier date, which wasn't feasible due to staffing constraints. So, we had to settle for the later date. Of course, business owners would prefer the better date, but if it's not meant to be, there's no need to force it. Therefore, we've tentatively set the opening date for around the end of September in the Gregorian calendar.

Sometimes things just happen that way; many things don't go as planned. But I don't think we need to deliberately seek out perfect scenery. My uncle once told me a story about a feng shui master who went hiking to survey a place. He passed through a small village and met an old woman. Because he was very thirsty, he asked her for a cup of water. However, the water in the small village wasn't very clean; there was sand and gravel in it. The master was secretly unhappy. The woman, knowing he was the master, asked him some feng shui questions about choosing an auspicious date. Because the master was still thinking about the sand and gravel in the water, he decided to deliberately play a trick on the old woman. He answered all the feng shui questions in reverse, choosing a particularly bad day and a particularly bad location for her. The woman, unaware of this, did as the master instructed.

Years later, the master passed through the village and saw the woman again. She greeted him happily, thanking him profusely. It turned out that since the master's passing, the woman's life had improved significantly. The master found it strange; he had deliberately chosen an unlucky day to harm her, yet the result was so good. The story illustrates that while it's certainly beneficial to practice auspicious feng shui during favorable times, there's no need to deliberately seek good fortune. If one has a good heart and upright intentions, like this woman, whose heart was pure and sincere, even choosing the wrong day will ultimately lead to a good outcome.

So that's the end of the story, and the conclusion is to focus on doing your best.

This week has also brought various collaboration opportunities and meetings with different people. I wonder if anything will turn out well. I'll update everyone later .

Additionally, there's a chance that duvet covers will be available before the end of this year. This is something we've never made before, and it's the only product in our bedding line that we haven't made yet—the final piece of the puzzle. If you're interested, stay tuned.
