All our factories and offices in Hong Kong now fully utilize renewable energy, as certified by CLP's "Renewable Energy Certificate Scheme." This means that 100% of the energy used in our factory production, pillow manufacturing, and daily operations comes from renewable sources. For us, this is a significant step in contributing to the well-being of our planet.

As a micro-sized Hong Kong brand, Re Pillow Co. (Wai Kee (Hong Kong) Limited) understands that our impact may not be as significant as that of larger corporations. However, within our capabilities, we strive to do our utmost and fulfill our corporate social responsibility.

Re Pillow Co. has partnered with the environmental organization Ecologi. Starting from early June 2022, we will regularly plant trees in countries in need.

As of now, we have planted over 5,000 trees worldwide.

Ecologi is a UK-based environmental organization dedicated to carbon reduction and tree planting. To date, they have planted 42.8 million trees. They carry out various tree planting initiatives globally, such as reforestation after wildfires and planting trees in rainforests to protect vegetation at risk of soil erosion. They also occasionally collaborate with other environmental organizations to plant suitable vegetation in particularly vulnerable rainforests to conserve ecosystems.

Ecologi is also an organization with relatively low administrative costs: only 15% of donations are used for administrative and promotional expenses, with the remaining 85% dedicated to environmental work.

Therefore, we chose to collaborate with Ecologi. Every time you purchase a Re Pillow product, you are not only improving your sleep quality but also contributing to the improvement of the planet's ecosystem.

We believe that environmental protection can coexist with good design and good products. Therefore, when designing products, we consider how to create a good product while avoiding negative impacts on the environment. For example, our pillows feature a fillable design with a zipper on the side, allowing customers to add or remove filling themselves at any time. Even after many years of use, when a new pillow is needed, customers can remove all old filling, wash the pillowcase, and purchase refill filling to give the pillow new life, thereby reducing waste.

Our bedding collection is also vegan, meaning no animal materials are used, which is a consideration for both the environment and animal rights.

In terms of packaging, starting from August 2022, we began gradually designing our packaging to be more environmentally friendly and to reduce the air volume inside the packaging, saving energy consumption during transportation.

In November 2023, we launched Re Fleece, a fleece blanket made entirely from RPET (Recycled PET) material, all sourced from recycled plastic materials. After sorting, washing, and disinfecting, the plastic is re-ground into plastic powder, then spun into yarn to create Re Fleece. This is also a new endeavor for us, and we hope to continue incorporating environmentally friendly elements into our products in the future.

The fact that we can easily turn on the tap today and have clean water available is not a given. If we don't cherish our planet, there's no guarantee that future generations won't face extremely harsh environmental conditions, and the water flowing from their taps may no longer be clean.
