(New Bed Sheets Win Award) I attended the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards ceremony yesterday. Winning a bronze award for design for my new bed sheets is a huge encouragement for a young person like me. Thank you to the judges for their recognition. I asked the organizers and ordered several extra sets of the crystal trophy and certificate. They will be delivered to my shops in Tsim Sha Tsui, North Point, and Tseung Kwan O next Tuesday.

I am truly grateful for everyone's support, which has given an ordinary young person like myself the opportunity to try and bring a concept to life. Perhaps some readers/customers of this page know that I love reading and admire people like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Walt Disney, James Dyson, and Bill Gates who have truly changed the world. Of course, my "small designs" are not inventions, much less great, but receiving praise and recognition from customers, and feeling that my designs, even if they are just small things, can improve people's lives, is truly the most encouraging.

However, in life and work, one should not be easily complacent. One must be humble, diligent, patient, and hardworking, continuing to move forward and make progress. In fact, after entering the business world, I've gradually realized that running a company involves many considerations, especially if you intend to do it seriously and for the long term. Take, for example, the new bed sheets that won this award—  Hong Kong has a wide variety of mattress sizes, and different people can have vastly different preferences for bed sheet styles. A large selection might require a dozen or even twenty different bed sheets (and this is constantly being updated). We currently have 13 sizes, each with a dozen or so styles, totaling over 200 products. Managing so many different items while minimizing stockouts and allocating them to different stores based on sales volume is a very difficult task. It's similar to what Jimmy Lai wrote in his early Giordano business book, where he mentioned that "retail is a game of fighting against inventory," which is indeed true.  But I can say that I have made great progress in this area in 2025 compared to 2024, but I am still working hard. Or, for example, in the first half of the year, we tried to explore and set up limited-time booths at Yuen Long Cherokee and Sha Tin Yat Tin for a period of time to try to reach more people. We also just joined the Japanese Coronya® Bread Cat collaboration series. Actually, we wanted to try to make the new bed sheets more accessible to the home. I want more people to try our products. I want to try to make Re Pillow Co. more well-known and to make our products more mainstream.

The road ahead is long, and I'm grateful for everyone's companionship over the past few years. The future will certainly be challenging, perhaps even difficult, but I will do my part, taking my time and continuing to work hard.
