I always believe that great products have a soul. When people use them, they can feel the heart and soul the designer poured into every stitch. As I thought about Re Quilt 3, I kept asking myself, ‘What does our best-selling quilt stand for now that it's reaching the third generation? What exactly is Re Quilt?’

To be honest I've looked at other bedding companies with their dozens of quilt options and wondered if that was the answer. Some other seniors have told me: "Do more choices! Cater for everyone! Make quilts of price ranging from $300 to $3000 and let them choose! That's how you grow big!" And of course there are plenty of success stories that prove this way works.

But is that really the solution? It takes me back to those months before I started making pillows, standing alone in Wing On Sheung Wan bedding area, trying to find a pillow for myself. So many options, so many prices... yet none fits me. More choices don't necessarily solve the problem. If we offer quilts from $300 to $3000, most people will probably just pick what fits their budget - but is that actually what they want?

Now I'm not going to say money is not important. But if every decision is purely profit-driven, with no deeper thoughts and considerations, that kind of company might grow fast but would not go long. 

A core of a company ultimately reflects its founder's ideology. What we believe in, how we see things - that shapes everything.

Even for now, I still think Re Quilt was never about becoming the fanciest. It's about returning to how a quilt should be. Perfectly practical for Hong Kong weather. Comfy and trustworthy in quality. Priced fairly so more people can use it. This is what Re Quilt 3 is about.

Re Quilt 4 is no longer a blanket that you blindly buy, use for a while, replace when a new one comes along, forget the brand of, or discard as a disposable item when moving. Re Quilt is always designed for Hong Kong’s unique climate, but here’s what we’ve learned: these days, we’re all relying on air-con so much that summer nights feel more like autumn. That’s why if we want to make something for all seasons, making it slightly thicker could cater for spring and autumn as well as summer nights with air con on. So the temperature range usable would be 18-25°C instead of 25 °C of Re Quilt 1 & 2. 

On those AC summer nights, room temperature rarely goes above 25 °C. But it's not just for summer. During those transitional months - March-April, October-November - or on cooler summer evenings when you don't need the AC, Re Quilt 3 still works beautifully.

A single Re Quilt would cover most of the days, no more switching, just comfortable sleeps all seasons. 

When we first launched Re Quilt 2, some customers reported that after long-term use and machine washing, the inner cotton filling sometimes pokes through the fabric surface, eventually forming little fabric pills from friction. This usually happens because everyday wear and tear can create tiny, nearly invisible micro-holes in the fabric. Then, when the quilt gets tossed in the washing machine, the tumbling action can push bits of filling through those holes, leading to those little pills.

This only affected a small number of users, but at Re Pillow Co., we believe in constant improvement. Good enough is always not good enough. We don’t want to let potential issues slide, even the small ones. Because that’s what real product development is all about. There are tons of companies out there making empty promises, and some might think our talk about "improvement" is just lip service. But we mean it.

For the Re Quilt 3, used the techniques for high-end down quilts to solve this issue. Between the outer Tencel and the cotton filling, we added an inner filter shield, an ultra thin but mighty layer that completely blocks any chance of filling sneaking through.

So now, no matter how long you use it or how many times you toss it in the washing machine, the Re Quilt 3 will stay just as smooth and cozy as day one.

A truly well-made product is about getting little things right.

For the Re Quilt 3, we went with a diamond stitching pattern - looks classy right? Those fancy diamonds actually keep the filling perfectly spread out so you get the perfect comfort every night.

We know everyone wants something easy to wash and use, especially for people who want to go without a duvet cover. We designed Re Quilt in the way you need to toss the whole thing in the machine (well I mean you can hand-wash if you want to as well).

The slight coolness on the surface makes every night feel like the perfect temperature.

But heads up, while it's machine-wash-friendly, we don’t advise you to throw it in the dryer. Because the fibers are delicate, the high heat could straight-up retire your quilt early.

No one wants their quilts doing tango inside their duvet cover. That’s exactly why we designed eight little loops – stitched securely at all four corners and the midpoint of each side. When you pair them with Re Cover, no matter how much you flip like a pancake, it will still be perfectly in place. Re Quilt 3 and Re Cover are basically soulmates and it protects your quilt well.

Re Pillow Co. started with a single mission, making a good pillow. We've brought that same energy to Re Quilt. The Re Quilt 3 is improved from Re Quilt 2 to be a perfect quilt for four seasons in Hong Kong. From the next-level fabric which copes with humidity to fillings that suit HK temperature of nights, and extra layer to make it machine-washable. At the end of the day, we’re not here to wow you, it is just a quilt. When you're finally sleeping just right, that's when you know we've done our job. 

 Yeah, we killed off those super cool but useless features from last gen - no more gimmicks, just a quilt that actually understands Hong Kong sleepers.

I get it, when a brand starts talking about "passion" and "improving lives," it can sound like marketing. But Re Pillow Co. began with me just trying to solve my own crappy sleep and that’s what we believe in when we’re making every product.

As we've grown, I've made sure our prices grow... downward. Because honestly speaking, I'm just like you. I hunt for dinner deals and product vouchers. Re Quilt 3 aimed to be better and affordable. A simple promise: if we can make it for less, you'll pay less. Better sleep shouldn't require a luxury budget.
