For most people, a summer duvet is like wallpaper; you buy it, use it, and then your thoughts drift elsewhere—to a new TV, new clothes, a new handbag, a new camera toy...

Yet, your duvet waits quietly on your bed every day, patiently waiting for you to come home every night. It embraces you tightly with its soft body every night, silently enduring the invasion of cold drafts, just so you can sleep soundly.

But every morning, when you throw off the duvet and get out of bed, you don't even spare it a glance. You even get out of bed, leaving it in a messy heap, without the motivation to fold it.

You embark on your journey to school or work, striving for the future, working hard for life, and the duvet remains at home, quietly waiting for you to return every night, yet we have never truly taken it to heart.

So, since creating the first generation of Re Quilt in 2021, I have had a mission for the past five years:

I want to make a serious change to this overlooked relationship. The quilt in your home will no longer be "nameless," no longer just a carelessly mass-produced ordinary blanket, but a carefully crafted Re Quilt—a quilt specifically designed for use in Hong Kong's climate.

And now, in 2026, after continuous improvements, Re Quilt has reached its fourth generation, and it is the best Re Quilt we have ever made.

Re Quilt 4 is no longer a "consumable" item that you pick up, use for a while, replace, and then discard when you move because you don't want to bother with it. You might have forgotten what brand of quilt you bought before, but this quilt is our fourth-generation Re Quilt, meticulously refined step-by-step since we started making quilts in 2021. It's a four-season quilt specifically designed for most days in Hong Kong, truly tailored to the local climate needs.

The advent of Re Quilt has redefined what constitutes a good duvet. With Re Quilt's micro-synthetic fiber filling, there's no longer a need to use inhumane and environmentally unfriendly materials such as down, wool, silk floss, or silk. Because Re Quilt is designed specifically for Hong Kong's climate, just two duvets can cover most of Hong Kong's year-round needs, eliminating the struggle of deciding which bedding to buy.

In 2023, we launched Re Quilt 2, a summer duvet/air-conditioned duvet that can be used directly without a duvet cover. It's smooth, delicate, machine washable, and can even be worn. Over the subsequent two years, we released a total of 9 colors in batches. Re Quilt 2 laid the foundation for what a suitable summer duvet for Hong Kong's environment should be.

In 2025, we introduced Re Quilt 3, further improving Re Quilt 2 in various aspects. We minimized features that negatively impact comfortable sleep, slightly increased its thickness to make it suitable for more days of the year, and lowered the price. Our focus was on creating an excellent duvet, allowing more people to choose a quality all-season duvet as their everyday sleeping default option.

Today, Re Quilt 3 is set to take another step forward, with multi-faceted upgrades and improvements, aiming to become a truly perfect duvet designed for most days in Hong Kong. This is Re Quilt 4.

Re Quilt duvets have always been known for being perfectly suited to Hong Kong's climate. However, over the past two years, we've noticed that Hongkongers often sleep with air conditioning on in the summer. Therefore, if a duvet is to be used year-round, making it slightly thicker would allow it to better withstand spring and autumn days without affecting the experience of sleeping with air conditioning on summer nights. By making the duvet slightly thicker, Re Quilt 4 can be used on nights with room temperatures between 18-25 degrees Celsius, which, compared to the approximately 25 degrees of the original and second-generation Re Quilt, better meets most people's sleeping needs at night. Based on the experience of Re Quilt 3 customers, this thickness is also suitable for some milder winter days in Hong Kong, making Re Quilt 4 truly convenient and a year-round duvet.

In summer, Hongkongers often turn on the air conditioning on hotter nights, so indoor temperatures rarely exceed 25 degrees Celsius. A light, thin, and soft Re Quilt 4 all-season duvet is therefore ideal. And in March-April, October-November, or on cooler summer days, Re Quilt 4 is still suitable even without air conditioning.

With Re Quilt 4, this one fiber duvet is enough for most days of the year.

For some of the early production of Re Quilt 2, some customers experienced that after prolonged use and machine washing, the inner cotton filling of the quilt might protrude from the surface and form lint balls due to friction. This mostly happens because daily friction creates invisible small holes in the fabric surface; when the quilt is washed in a washing machine, the inner cotton filling might protrude through these small holes due due to tumbling and friction, forming lint balls. Although this issue only affected a small number of users, Re Pillow Co. believes in continuous improvement to create quality local bedding products. We adhere to the principle of "admitting mistakes and standing firm," to eliminate any potential problems. This is also a necessary improvement for bedding products. There are too many bedding companies making various false claims out there. Some people might think that our constant talk of improvement is just empty words, but we are serious.

With the previous generation of Re Quilt 3, we decided to apply a method typically used for high-end down duvets to solve this problem. Between the outer fabric and the cotton batting, we added another layer of extremely thin down-proof fabric, completely eliminating the possibility of the cotton batting escaping from the duvet's surface.

To further improve, and to allow Re Quilt 4 to be tumble-dried (which Re Quilt 3 could not), this year's Re Quilt 4 has been further refined compared to Re Quilt 3. We've added Thermal Bonding and Spray Bonding techniques to both sides of the inner cotton batting. This is a complex process mostly used in expensive padded jackets. Through 150°C high temperature, the top and bottom of the cotton batting are lightly melted. Under the heat, the two sides of the cotton batting bond together, becoming less likely to separate after cooling. After this, we lightly spray a layer of adhesive on the surface to make the cotton sheet more complete and flat. This process is often used in high-end padded jackets because it retains warmth while making the jacket's surface more sleek and flat, and it can also be washed, making it easy to care for.

For our Re Quilt 4, applying this process makes the duvet more durable. We believe that even with long-term use and multiple washes in the washing machine and tumble dryer, Re Quilt 4 will continue to accompany you, staying as good as new.

The dedication to crafting every bedding product is reflected in the details.

We incorporated a diamond quilting pattern into the design of Re Quilt 4. This not only gives the quilt a more luxurious and beautiful feel but also ensures the even distribution of the quilt's filling, keeping it flat and uniform for a comfortable night's sleep, every night.

We believe that ease of use and cleaning is extremely important for duvets, especially for users who want to use Re Quilt 4 directly without a duvet cover. Therefore, Re Quilt 4 can be machine washed as a whole and used directly without a duvet cover. The cotton outer layer of the duvet is soft and comfortable to the touch, thick and breathable, and will accompany you every night.

Moreover, Re Quilt 4 has undergone the aforementioned improvements in core craftsmanship, incorporating the down-proof layer design of high-end down duvets, and the Thermal Bonding and Spray Bonding technologies found in premium padded jackets. For the first time, it can also be put into a tumble dryer, making it more convenient for users who need to use a dryer, truly meeting the needs of Hong Kong users.

No one likes their duvet to shift inside the duvet cover. Therefore, we've added small fabric loops at each of the four corners and the middle of each side of the All-Season Duvet. Users can secure the Re Quilt 4 within the duvet cover by attaching these loops to the eight ties inside the Re Cover Re Cover. No matter how much you toss and turn at night, the Re Quilt 4 will stay securely in place within the duvet cover. If you have other duvets, such as the Re Quilt Winter 2 or two Re Quilt 4s, you can also stack them and use these positioning ties to secure them all within the same duvet cover for extra warmth on colder nights.

The Re Quilt 4 is perfectly compatible with our Re Cover Re Cover, providing an extra layer of protection for your duvet.

Do you remember the story I mentioned earlier about how duvets at home are often overlooked? I've seriously considered it, and one significant reason for this situation is that there has never been a company in the market that seriously creates a duvet "specifically designed for Hong Kong." More often, a company produces five, six, or seven types of duvets, ranging from $300 to $3000, allowing people to choose based on their budget, as if that solves the problem. But is that really the best approach?

Re Pillow Co., as the name suggests, originated from a dream of creating good pillows. And this Re Quilt 4 is a duvet we've improved upon based on the success of the first three generations of Re Quilt — an all-season duvet designed for most days in Hong Kong. From upgrading the duvet's outer fabric to be durable and breathable while helping to wick away moisture, to cope with Hong Kong's humid sleeping environment; to thickening the inner core to match the actual temperature of most nights of use; plus an anti-down layer and the inner core's Thermal & Spray Bonding process, making the entire duvet more wear-resistant and washable – all of this, although without major breakthroughs or astonishing features, when all is said and done, it's still just a duvet. Doing its job well is actually the most important thing, and the core of the product, what needs to be achieved.

Throughout the entire process, we repeatedly considered how to make Re Quilt 4 better suited to the actual needs of users, adding the function of being able to be put in a tumble dryer. No "gimmicks," just a practical, useful, all-season duvet focused on Hong Kong's climate.

Oh, did I mention...

I once promised everyone that Re Pillow Co. is not just about me. I want Re Pillow Co. to create good products that can improve my life and the lives of those around me, just like when I first researched pillows for my own use. Many might think I'm "all talk," but I am serious. Therefore, as we grow and our scale allows for lower prices, I will certainly pass all those savings on to our customers. I am an ordinary person; I also go shopping, watch movies, and eat out on weekends, so I understand the importance of price. The best duvet has been improved, and the price is even more reasonable.

Finally, I would like to conclude with the same wish I wrote for Re Quilt 2 a few years ago:

A duvet is perhaps a product that few people pay attention to. We might share our new TV, new pillow, or new mattress with friends, but rarely do we say, "I recently bought a new duvet." I hope that, this time, we can all make an exception and say it from the bottom of our hearts.
