Have you ever tried changing your bed sheets? Every time you do it, it's like a battle – struggling to lift the heavy mattress, squeezing your hands into narrow gaps against the wall – it's incredibly silly! Sometimes you're even drenched in sweat afterward… Living in the same city, I wanted to create innovative products to make everyone's lives a little easier. So, in 2021, I started researching easy-to-change bed sheets, and three years ago I launched the Re Bedding bed sheet, featuring an easy-to-remove zipper design, making changing sheets as simple as zipping up a zipper. This zipper bed sheet design won the 2025 Hong Kong Smart Design Awards. Thank you for your support.
However, work must keep moving forward. Since launching the new bed sheets, we've made numerous improvements and updates, refining everything from the design and materials of the bottom frame to the materials, stitching, and sewing methods of the bed surface over a dozen times. For example, we changed the bottom frame material to one that is more scratch-resistant and reduces dust accumulation, and reinforced the four edges of the bed surface with double stitching. Anyone can hype up a product and seek short-term profits, but I believe that only continuous improvement can truly make a good product and is the only way to achieve long-term success.
Today, in 2026, new sheets also usher in a new chapter. Avon®, a veteran brand in Hong Kong's bedding industry, has joined hands with Re Pillow Co. to launch the second generation of the new "ULTRA FINE COLLECTION"!
I understand, some of you might be wondering... Wait a minute! Avanti is a bedding brand, and Re Pillow Co. is also a bedding brand. A collaboration between these two companies is like telling me Apple and Samsung are going to team up to launch a new smartphone—what's going on...? Okay, okay, let me explain:
Why did the two companies come together?
#1 Origin
The need for the Ultimate Smoothness series
Back in 2025, I was thinking that Re Bedding's easy-change design had solved the problem of changing sheets, but could there be more options for the fabric texture? Our current Gen.2 second-generation densely woven cotton series is indeed, as many customers have said, better than other cotton products on the market (this is because my family has been in the bedding business and production since my grandfather's time, but we are just a small business).
However, while this tightly woven 100% cotton is arguably the best choice for most people—it's machine and dryer safe, offering the softness, comfort, breathability, and smooth yet thick and durable feel of 100% cotton—different people do have different preferences for bedding materials. One thing I know is that some customers seek the ultimate smoothness. Therefore, to cater to a wider range of customers, launching a new ultra-smooth top sheet is necessary. However, technically, given our relatively small scale, achieving such an ultra-smooth finish may still be challenging.
An opportunity given to me by a veteran in the bedding industry
Meanwhile, Avanti, a giant in the bedding industry, noticed our new zippered sheet design in mid-2025. We are grateful and appreciate their support and willingness to collaborate on my invention. Frankly, given their leading position and strength in the Hong Kong bedding market, they could easily buy my product tomorrow, replicate it, and sell it in their 40 stores next month. With only a few stores, we couldn't compete, and a lawsuit would be financially unfeasible. Yet, Avanti expressed appreciation and support, generously contacting us to discuss collaboration, for which I am extremely grateful.
They hit it off immediately
Therefore, when Avanti contacted me to discuss cooperation, I thought to myself, this is the perfect opportunity! Their flagship More Than Silk series, especially the top-of-the-line 60S 1600 needle series, perfectly fills the gap in Re Bedding's ultra-smooth series, making the product go from "convenient" to "ultimately comfortable".
Or, to elaborate further, Afontaine's More Than Silk line is renowned in the industry for its exceptionally smooth texture. This collaboration allows our customers to enjoy the best smoothness in the industry, while also experiencing the convenience of changing their sheets – a truly perfect opportunity. And so, we hit it off immediately: Re Pillow Co., together with Afontaine, launched the ULTRA FINE (Gen.2) bedding collection, using the flagship 60S 1600 thread count of More Than Silk.
#2 Style Overview
The ULTRA FINE Gen. 2 collection, a collaboration with Afontaine, will feature two solid colors: Azure and Charcoal. These are the colors that our customers have most frequently requested us to add, but which we haven't yet had. Now, through this collaboration with Afontaine, we've fulfilled that request, making our new bed linen collection even more complete in terms of color choices.
Azure
The azure blue sheets, paired with the smooth Tencel fabric from Modern Silk Austria, are soft and comfortable to the touch, creating a tranquil, ocean-like atmosphere. They complement white or light wood furniture and modern home décor perfectly, offering peace and comfort so you can drift off to sleep every night.
The bed sheet reflects different shades of blue under different lighting angles, and the extremely smooth fabric can be felt even through pictures.
Two matching pillowcases are included with the bed sheet, making it look even better as a set.
Similarly, the design of easy-to-remove and easy-to-change bed sheets is essential. Changing the sheets is as simple as pulling the zipper, making it easy, convenient, quick, and effortless.
When used with the bottom frame, there's finally a proper place to store small items by the bedside.
You can also choose to add a matching duvet cover. It also features a new double-opening design, making it easy to change. It matches the sheets and pillowcases, creating a more aesthetically pleasing set.
Dark gray Charcoal
The second bedding item in the Modern Silk collection features a deep Charcoal shade, a color many customers requested. The deep gray tone, as calming as a starry night sky, offers a subtly luxurious visual experience. Gray symbolizes stability and elegance, creating a tranquil atmosphere that helps you relax and fall asleep. It pairs well with wooden furniture to create a modern, minimalist bedroom space.
The same easy-to-remove and easy-to-change bed sheet design is used. Each time you change the bed sheet, it's as simple as pulling the zipper, easy, convenient, quick and effortless.
Two matching pillowcases are also included, making them look even better as a set.
There are also matching new duvet covers to go with, making them easy to change and creating a complete set with the sheets and pillowcases, which looks extremely nice.
Also featured is the Smooth Series (Gen. 2), a collaboration between Re Pillow Co. and Afontane. All products in the series have a unique washing label that features both the Re Pillow Co. and Afontane logos. This is extremely rare in any industry, and may be the first and only collaboration of its kind in the bedding sector, making it a truly memorable event.

All bedding in the Gen. 2 line is made with Avon Modern Silk® 60S 1600 thread, which is not only as smooth as silk, but also has finer fibers and more moisture than real silk.
Made with Austrian TENCEL™ fibers, blended in a specific ratio of Lyocell and Modal fibers, it feels smoother than our other material, Gen. 2 Cotton.
Compared to regular TENCEL™ bedding, including our previously released "Gen. 1" line, Modern Silk feels softer and smoother, a feature truly unique in the industry. Imagine, in Hong Kong's humid and hot weather, the sheets are not only breathable and moisture-wicking, but also super quick-drying, wrinkle-resistant, and non-sticky, making you feel like you're enveloped in a cloud while you sleep!

Conclusion
This cross-brand collaboration with Afontaine is of great significance to me. Some people might think, "Competitors are like enemies," so why collaborate with others? However, I sometimes feel that just as different people have different strengths, different companies also have their own unique technologies and advantages. If we take a broader view, the essence of why I initially started making products is because I wanted to create products that could solve problems in life—Re Pillow originated from my own experience with my pillow. I found many pillows on the market unsuitable, so I decided to research and create a truly user-friendly pillow, designed from the user's perspective. This is Re Pillow.
Similarly, the origin of my "Re Bedding" design stems from my feeling that changing bed sheets is currently too inconvenient. Call me lazy if you want, but I genuinely find the current methods of changing bed sheets cumbersome and inefficient. I hope to reform this, making changing bed sheets simpler. Ultimately, I hope it can benefit more people.

How to buy new bed sheets
- If this is your first time buying new sheets, in addition to selecting the "Smooth (Gen.2) Sheet with Two Pillowcases " option, please add a base frame that matches your mattress size to your cart (a 2-3cm error is acceptable; for example, if your mattress is 122x183cm, select 120x183cm). If you want the new sheets to be waterproof, you can add a waterproof layer between the mattress and the sheet, which will then be attached to the base frame to work with the new sheets. If you already have one, you don't need to buy another one.
- After adding the Gen.2 (Graceful) series bedding to your cart, you can also go to the Re Bedding page to add other bedding styles or other collaboration series for replacement.
