Given that Re Pillow Co. has recently temporarily suspended accepting pillow orders, I'd like to document some of the recent developments behind the scenes.
We're about to have our own photography studio. The picture above was taken at the end of 2020, showing me shooting product photos of the first-generation Re Pillow at home. At the time, I bought two white plastic sheets from a stationery store near my house (only to find out they weren't big enough after I got them, but I couldn't bear to buy two more to enlarge them), and set up a small "photo studio" myself. Using a desk lamp as the light source, I huddled under the desk opposite my bed and took some product photos using my phone.
That's how Re Pillow Co. started.
The photo below shows RPC Studio under renovation, taken today. This room will be converted into a small bedroom and equipped with (more) professional lighting for product photography/videos. I've always wanted to create simple yet professional video tutorials, such as how to adjust your pillow height or showcasing the use of different products—all of which can be done in this studio. I'm worried about wasting funds, so even though the studio will be much more professional than before, all the design and materials will be kept simple and practical, just enough. Upgrading is an ongoing process. Every board, paint, and light fixture can be upgraded or replaced with better, higher-quality ones. But I constantly remind myself that all our current operating funds, though not much, don't belong to us personally, but to the trust of each and every customer; therefore, they must be used wisely. In any case, thank you all for your continued support, allowing us to witness this day together. We have many more things in preparation for the future, which we cannot disclose yet, but we hope you can witness them with us then.
