This is a weekly journal, written every week. Hello everyone, welcome to this week's journal. I'll continue to share with you the events of the week, big and small. What new updates are there this week?

#1 Reviewing Hui Kee's history and summarizing major events

Some customers may know that Re Pillow Co. originated from my (Ryan's) experience of not sleeping well, which led me to research pillows and eventually establish the company (details: https://repillow.co/about ). Since neither of my parents were involved in this field, I asked my uncle, a relative, because my father told me that our family had been in this business since my grandfather's time. I started by asking my uncle about their experience in making pillows and other related knowledge. However, my understanding of the family business history was always superficial. I vaguely knew that my grandfather had a shop in Sham Shui Po selling bedding and traditional Chinese wedding dresses, but I didn't know the details. This week, I consulted with my elders to thoroughly understand the family history and wrote it down. Our family business, Hui Kee, has never had a website, and it can't be found through Google searches. With my elders' permission, I've been busy this week creating a company website to briefly introduce Hui Kee's background.

Actually, Wai Kee's earliest roots can be traced back to 1946. At that time, we sold firewood and rice at the intersection of Maple Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road (now the basketball court). Later, we started selling kapok pillows, quilts, and so on. In the 1960s, we changed our name to "Wai Kee Embroidery Shop," focusing on making and selling various bedding products, bamboo mats, and renting out traditional Chinese wedding dresses. We moved to several places, but mainly stayed on Castle Peak Road in Cheung Sha Wan until the 1990s when we moved to a factory in Kwai Chung to start production, which continues to this day. Sometimes I really admire that generation for going through so much, supporting their families, and making us who we are today.

#2 "Re Pillow Delivery Department"

Recently, we noticed that some customers on our website have delivery addresses in the Kwai Chung area, near our factory. Initially, it was Kwai Chung Village, opposite our factory. Since we passed by these addresses daily on our way to and from work, we figured we might as well deliver them ourselves instead of using a courier service. That's why we established "Re Pillow Delivery Department." Kwai Chung Village, Kwai Chun Yuen, Kwai Hing Village, and Kwong Fai Wai are all within our delivery area. If we see these addresses, we might deliver them ourselves. We've even had a customer receive an order within an hour, which surprised her greatly. Generally, we deliver within a day. However, being a courier is indeed difficult. Yesterday, I delivered three packages at once, distributed across four different factory buildings and residential addresses in Kwai Chung. During the delivery, it rained, and the weather was hot, humid, and stuffy. I walked for over two hours, which was quite tiring. Everyone should be grateful.

#3 Learn and work in a fun and relaxed way!

If you read my other weekly journal entries, you'll find that I'm under a lot of psychological pressure. One week's entry might be extremely gloomy, while the next week's is cheerful and positive. You'll notice this if you just pick two or three entries to read. The extremes, the dramatic mood swings, almost like a split personality. Indeed, I feel I'm working very hard myself. In pursuit of my goals, in the hope that Re Pillow Co. can do better, I feel I've pushed myself too hard. I've been overly ambitious, taking many things too seriously. Sometimes, my mind and body can't handle it. Therefore, this week I've been trying to relax, trying to let go a little, to be more open-minded, and to enjoy the work process. Whether you go fast or slow doesn't matter. If you rush, you might eventually give up halfway because of the excessive work pressure and your own exhaustion. Going fast certainly has its advantages, but you also need to go far. This requires a healthy mind. It's easier said than done; I hope I can learn gradually.

It's late. I'll stop writing here for this week. See you next week.
