Welcome back to this week's journal! It's my turn to talk about my work this week. First, I processed all the weekend BLACKOUT SALE orders, and then immediately started preparing the red envelopes ( https://repillow.co/CNY ). Preparing the red envelopes is necessary because, to avoid damage to the boxes during shipping, the printing factory doesn't fold them properly. So, after processing and shipping the orders, I went to fold the boxes. After folding for a day or two, I started filming videos to introduce this red envelope project. I filmed two videos, which are attached here:
After filming, I needed to prepare a website ( https://repillow.co/CNY ) for people to register. I wrote all the details on one page, embedded the unboxing video, and prepared the interface for the sign-up. I set it to launch at 10 AM, and I was done!
Friday night, the entire registration process went very smoothly. All 100 online registration red envelopes were cleared out in two minutes, which was better than I expected. Thank you all so much for your support.
Lately, perhaps due to the economic downturn, I've seen online shops saying they have no business. I understand; whether we're business owners or employees, we all know the economy is indeed tough these days. But sometimes I don't like people saying business is hard. If it's so hard, then don't do it. Nobody's forcing you. And complaining about "business being hard" won't solve the problem. Solving problems requires finding solutions. Instead of spending time worrying and feeling stressed, it's better to think about ways to improve the situation. That will help the whole thing.
P.S. Last week's journal mentioned that I might want to make a video explaining why we do BLACKOUT SALE, but in the end I felt that talking about business wouldn't really benefit customers, nor is it what they want to see. I'd rather spend my time thinking about how to promote it more.
This Saturday, due to some unexpected circumstances, my colleague suddenly couldn't open the shop, so I went to check it out on short notice and immediately updated my social media. Checking the shop on a last-minute Saturday was a bit unexpected, but it was a good thing. It allowed me to meet different people, which was helpful in understanding the development direction and customer needs.
That's all for this week. Thank you all for your support! See you next week!
