Since launching Re Bedding, one question keeps popping up: 'Do you only sell pure colours?' And our answer's been... Well, yeah. For now, at least. (But hey, great question really!)

We still don’t know how far Re Bedding will go - but there's one thing we're sure about. We're doing just one cartoon collab ever. That’s why we’re picking something extra special. If life’s a race you only run once, you better run it with someone you love. No regrets. That’s why our first collab is with Dustykid®.

Let’s talk a bit more about Dustykid® …

We could’ve taken the easy route: write a generic intro, post a few product shots, and call it a day. But Dustykid® isn’t a typical comic, here’s why it’s special:

Dustykid® is a little grey speck of dust with emotions - a character created by Hong Kong artist Rap Chan (aka “Dust Dad”). Since 2013, Rap has posted a daily Dustykid® comic on Facebook - mainly about motivational stories. A few strokes of art, text of a line or two, just enough to make you pause and feel something.

Dustykid® is cute - yeah we all know. But what makes it special is that it never sugarcoats life. No fake positivity. Just real talk about - accepting your flaws, your feelings, giving yourself a break and getting back up when you’re ready.

That’s why Dustykid® was my first pick for our first cartoon collab. Collaborating with them to create Dustykid® products was a dream come true. I know Re Pillow Co. is still small, and the world runs on spreadsheets, not dreams. But hey, that’s not something that should stop you from trying. So I emailed them, attaching a picture of me wearing a Dustykid® T-shirt (to prove I’m a real fan). Didn’t expect to receive anything really, but then they replied the same day. And there comes our collab.

Massive thanks to the Dustykid® team for taking a chance on us - we know this trust wasn’t guaranteed. That’s why we’ve gone above and beyond to create something truly special. While others cut corners with cheap fabrics for cartoon collabs, we used our newest Gen.2 Cotton Collection for this release. It’s softer and more durable than our Ultra Fine and Everyday Collection, with a dense weave of 1182TC per 10cm². 

DustyKid® Collection has the softness and breathability of cotton, and thanks to the dense weaving, it’s so comfy and smooth - that DustyKid® might actually slide off! ;). More importantly, we’ve used a Pre-Shrunk Magic on it - meaning that can wash/dry it without worrying it will shrink.
