I recently had a conversation with some early customers and discovered a phenomenon: most customers used Re Pillow 2 for a long time and felt no problems, but some other customers felt that they slept less soundly after using the pillow for a while.

Although the pillows currently on the market (such as kapok pillows and memory foam pillows) are not guaranteed to stay flat forever, and everyone knows that we can provide refill packs at any time to add or replace the filling, I personally feel that this situation is worth investigating further.

I want to understand why different people have different experiences with the same pillow. Understanding the reasons will allow me to continue improving and progressing. I hope that one day, people won't ask, "Is Re Pillow good?", but can confidently say, "Re Pillow is really good!" Actually, I've been using Re Pillow 2 myself for 1.5 years. Although I haven't had this "slept it off" problem, I know that if more people use it, everyone's experience will be different. I need to get to the bottom of things so that the product can be made better and better in the future, becoming a pillow recommended by everyone.

After some research, I finally figured out why some people's pillows "make them firmer after sleeping for a long time," while others' don't, and I also have a little tip to solve the problem.

Why Re Pillow pillows become firmer:

Due to Hong Kong's humid climate and the relatively high body temperature (around 37°C) compared to the room temperature (around 20°C) of the pillow filling material, invisible water droplets can form on each fiber of the pillow core during sleep due to the temperature difference. This is similar to how water droplets form when you take a cold drink out of the refrigerator. If the home is humid and lacks sunlight, or if you sweat a lot or sleep warmly, moisture can easily form on the fiber surface. Over time, the water droplets on the pillow core will cause the fibers to stick together, preventing them from separating and maintaining the pillow's softness and elasticity. Although invisible to the naked eye, customers will notice that the fibers are no longer as fluffy as before.

Because some people feel hot when they sleep, while others prefer cooler environments, and the amount of sunlight and humidity in the bedroom also vary, changes may affect some people, while others may not experience any problems even after using it for a long time.

If you are affected, don't worry! The solutions are very simple and effective:

I put the Re Pillow pillow in the dryer. This method allows the heat to evaporate the tiny water droplets on the pillow's inner fibers, preventing the fibers from sticking together and restoring the pillow's original fluffiness. Since I don't have a dryer at home, I went to a street-side dryer to test it. I dried it for 40 minutes on medium heat. If you can't get instructions on the heat setting, you can use the same method. After drying, the pillow should feel even fluffier. Although I didn't have any issues with sleeping soundly, it definitely felt better after drying.

This video might be a bit boring, especially for most people who haven't been affected and might not know what I'm doing. Actually, I'm saying all this because I want to help everyone, because we are Re Pillow Co., and we sincerely want to make good Hong Kong pillows, do everything well, and keep improving.
