Welcome to this week's journal! This week I've been busy with two main things: 1) researching long-term maintenance methods and usage tips for Re Pillow 2; 2) new product development and testing.

The first thing I wrote about was on my blog (https://repillow.co/blogs/news/re-pillow-long-term-use-and-maintenance-tips) and on Facebook/Instagram. I also made a video explaining the science behind it. To avoid repeating myself, I won't write about it there anymore. Occasionally, some friends have told me I repeat myself, so I need to learn to be more concise. On a side note: I realized I haven't made any videos since June this year, it seems like it's been a long time since I've shared anything with everyone, but if you read my weekly journal, you'll know I write one every week! I never give up or abandon it halfway. I persist, and I show up every week.

Recently I read a book called " The 10X Rule", written by a man named Grant Cardone The author wrote that one of the central themes in his book is about running a small company. Persist, never give up, keep striving every day. At first it may seem futile, but if you don't give up, the world is fair, and one day it will all be worthwhile. Some people may think it sounds like nonsense, just another motivational piece, but I believe it. Or rather, in my situation, I know that's what I need to do.

I've digressed, but I'd still like to suggest that if you've bought our pillows, you can check out the tip in the link above. You might not need it, because from what we understand, most people don't, but it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Check it out after you finish reading this week's journal entry!

The second matter concerns the research and development of new products and related experiments. While we can't really talk about anything concrete right now to maintain the mystery of the new product, this is actually the very topic I want to discuss this week: as we continue to delve deeper into this product, we encounter more and more academic aspects, discovering how little we actually know and realizing how much we have to learn. The world is vast, and knowledge can be incredibly profound. In our case, the knowledge I'm referring to includes science, materials science, and chemistry.

"Stay hungry, stay foolish." This is a quote from Steve Jobs, and I think the mindset it refers to is very apt. In our situation, we might buy some materials and discover that they have different properties. We might find that the same material can be used in different textures, shapes, and processes to achieve different effects, and we can also improve its performance. However, everything has its advantages and disadvantages. While highlighting certain advantages, it may also create other disadvantages. So we need to think about how to solve those disadvantages or whether there are ways to avoid them altogether. While I think the Re Pillow 2 is already a very good product, surpassing many others on the market, I believe its biggest breakthrough lies in its user-centric approach. It addresses and improves details that only become apparent with long-term use. Our secret is simple: we use our own products and constantly strive to improve them. We focus on doing one thing well, without trying anything else. It's that simple.

If I had to say something else: I believe in innovation, and I believe that to truly have a future, one must focus on research and development and not take shortcuts. Too many companies are only in it for the money, which I find undesirable. Honestly, I know my lifespan is limited, and I'm very clear about this. I want to contribute something truly valuable to those around me. I'm just an ordinary person; I'm simply lucky to have the opportunity to try and contribute something to others. This opportunity isn't something only I have, but it's not something everyone gets. I don't want to waste this opportunity because of laziness or a desire to just get by. I'm ordinary; a hundred years from now, no one will remember my name. Therefore, I want to leave something behind for people in this life while I still have the time. It doesn't matter if no one remembers me, as long as my inventions can help people, that's enough.

So from time to time, people ask me what motivates them at work, and I guess it's this.

That's so outdated, I know, I won't say it anymore. See you next week!
