#151 Why is Dustykid the first collaboration cartoon for the new bed sheets? (27/04/2025)

Not long after, customers have been asking why all our new bed sheets are solid colors, but we've collaborated with Dustykid. Is there some special reason? Actually, it's not as complicated as you might think... The reason for the collaboration is very simple and a bit capricious: I personally like Dustykid.

Less than 10 years ago, I was a normal secondary school student in Sha Tin—the kind who wore glasses, was short and unassuming, and wouldn't attract much attention. I didn't play sports, wasn't tall, and wasn't handsome. I had tutoring with a Chinese teacher named YY Lam, and one year (if you're around my age and took YY Lam's tutoring, you'll know—revealing my age!), we received some Dustykid encouragement cards in class, which is how I got to know Dustykid. At that moment—I honestly put the card in my bag without even looking at it. I told the tutor, "These 'encouragement cards' won't help me with my exams, so I just tossed them aside."

But back then, the Dustykid cards were made to a perfect size to use as bookmarks. As a result, I used them all as bookmarks when I was studying. And of course, when I didn't want to study anymore, just like when I was a kid and had to go to the toilet, I would take a bottle of shampoo and turn it over to check the ingredients. When I got bored of studying, I would start reading the sentences written on the Dustykid cards. That's how I gradually fell in love with Dustykid.

Of course, I patronized their tea shop in Sheung Wan later, and I've definitely bought their T-shirts or other products over the years. So when I learned that Re Pillow Co. had the opportunity to do a cartoon collaboration, I contacted them. It's really that simple.
