#181 Lok Fu Renovation Update and Fun Facts (23/11/2025)

(Loh Fu Update) Here's an update on the new Loh Fu store. The renovation is currently in the final stages of furniture installation, which shouldn't take too long, maybe a week or two more. It should open around mid-December.

It's funny, actually. Around October, we estimated that the shop in Lok Fu would open in mid-November. All the planning schedules were set for mid-November (originally November 12th). But my uncle mentioned that November in the Gregorian calendar is actually a "Year Breaker Month," which sounds unlucky, and opening a business there wouldn't be advisable. But I didn't listen at the time. I thought if we could open as early as possible, then we should. There was no reason to leave the renovations done and the shop unopened ... 

For some reason, the preparations for opening the shop have encountered various obstacles that we don't usually face. For example, the blueprints submitted to the mall were approved and then revised, and then new problems arose that required further revisions. This back-and-forth took several weeks. There were also problems with sourcing inventory; we've been running out of stock recently, so it's difficult to open without sufficient stock. In the end, the opening date was forced to be postponed, but miraculously, it avoided November for us . Therefore, it will probably open in mid-December, but the actual date is unknown. I'll ask my uncle to choose a new date.
