Welcome to another Re Pillow Co. weekly journal! I'll continue to share my recent work and interesting stories with you all each week.
Company Party: Nerf Gun - One-on-One Battle
This Sunday, we at Re Pillow Co. had a small, simple get-together. On Sunday evening, we bought some pizza and fried chicken and had dinner together at the company. I thought the atmosphere would be relaxed, but the conversation went deeper and deeper. Colleagues asked about the company's operations and development challenges, and I told them honestly. It seems like we all got to know each other better after that evening. Sometimes I find it hard to talk to others about these work-related worries, let alone share them, but I told everyone about them that night.
That day, I also prepared a small surprise for my colleagues. I knew they had always wanted all the Re Pillow Co. colleagues to play "War Games," but they couldn't find a time. So on Sunday, I went to "Toy Story City" and bought some Nerf Guns. When they returned to the company that day, they saw these toys as soon as they entered the door, and each of them got one. They were both surprised and delighted. After lunch, everyone dodged and weaved around in the company warehouse, and even made shields out of scrap cardboard, having a great time. Even Ben, who was usually least interested in War Games, admitted that it was really fun and joined in. I also temporarily let go of the pressure of work during the game and played with great enthusiasm. Due to time constraints that day, we couldn't play for more than an hour, and everyone was left wanting more. I will arrange another serious game another day, with everyone divided into teams and playing against each other.
Why did you play with Nerf Gun with your colleagues?
I've recently been reading two books by Zhuang Weizhong about his experiences as a CEO: *The CEO Who Doesn't Hold Meetings* and *The CEO Who Never Leaves the Ground*. Mr. Zhuang has his own philosophy of life, and what I've learned most from him is the importance of enjoying work, relaxing, and recognizing that happiness is the most important thing in life. Furthermore, it's crucial to maintain harmonious and happy relationships with colleagues. Unlike many companies where there are internal frictions, disputes, and even departmental conflicts, this leads to dissatisfaction and frustration among employees, and also creates internal friction that hinders the company's development.
While reading, besides nodding in agreement, I was also thinking about how to apply these philosophies to Re Pillow Co., which is how the Nerf Gun party on Sundays came about.
Thank you, Mr. Zhuang.
Preparing to shoot a new set of product photos featuring models
This week we're also preparing for a product photoshoot in mid-October. The last time we did these commercial shoots was two years ago, in October 2020. The shoot back then:

Two years have passed in the blink of an eye, and we haven't taken any new photos. In fact, we already have too many photos. I've taken some product photos myself, but we haven't had a proper shoot with a complete set and models. We're currently preparing for Re Pillow Co.'s second official photoshoot ever. The location, date, and models are all set; only details like clothing, set design, and overall style and color scheme are still finalized. This shoot is more meticulous and professional than before, and I believe the quality will be much higher. I'm really looking forward to it and hope to share the results with everyone soon!
That's all for this week's journal entry. Thank you for reading! See you next week.
