Get ill

I've been sick for half the week, feeling extremely unwell. Headache, sore throat, stomach ache, vomiting—it's all come out. Naturally, I've started thinking about life and death. Although it's excessive worry, it's true that when you're so sick, it's hard not to have those feelings. I've been thinking and thinking about how I'd like the emcee to introduce me at my funeral. What is it about my short 20-odd years of life that I want people to remember me for?

Then at that moment, I realized that most people don't actually remember what they did in their lives. Even if you count your own grandparents and in-laws, how well do you really know them? You might only know a few things they did and a general outline of their major life events. And going back a generation, to your grandparents' and in-laws' parents, you probably know nothing about them at all. In just about 100 years, our memories of a person have become almost entirely gone.

Even if you are Li Ka-shing, Hong Kong's richest man, it doesn't need to be long. In two or three hundred years, even if we assume he'll still be around, the name Li Ka-shing will just be a name to that generation, and he won't be as famous as he is now. There are many such people in history that we have overlooked because history is so long, and there are countless people like Li Ka-shing.

Besides, ordinary people like me are even less likely to be remembered. So, the idea that business should focus on "Leave Your Legacy" seems unrealistic to me. Unless you invent the light bulb, telephone, or internet, it's very difficult to truly achieve that . Therefore, after much thought, I realize there's really no need for people to remember me. My life goal should be to do my best and, within my short lifespan of a few decades, make as many people as possible happy, even if it's just for a moment, bringing a better life to many. That's roughly the meaning of life for me. Of course, money is a useful tool; without it, you can't even afford to see a doctor when you're sick, so money is important. But outside the cycle of "making money --> money laundering", perhaps I can make more people happy and fulfilled because of what I do in my lifetime. I think that would make me happy and able to die without regrets.

I was so sick I felt like I was in a rainbow, but I really wanted to remember all of this, so I wrote it down.

New products

The following video was filmed on Saturday morning when I felt a little better, and I uploaded it to Re Pillow Co.'s social media. After filming, I added some subtitles and immediately went home sick. But no matter what, I still want to promote it here:

(We need your help with the new product!)
(⚠️ If you want to see a product demonstration, you can skip to 1 minute and 28 seconds)

Customers often ask us when we'll launch bed sheets. The truth is, we haven't launched them yet because we're currently working on an innovative bed sheet – one that's easy to change without having to lift the heavy mattress. Especially in Hong Kong, beds often have two or three sides against the wall, making it difficult to reach under the mattress to change the sheets. This makes changing bed sheets very difficult and troublesome, turning it into a "chore," especially after a long day at work. I believe many people can relate.

I've named this new product "Re Bedding" (tentative name). You can refer to the video for a demonstration of its use. Each time you change the sheets, you only need to zip up the top sheet; it can be done with one hand, and you don't need to reach under the mattress, saving you a lot of trouble.

Now, after multiple rounds of testing and continuous improvements, we believe the first edition of our new Re Bedding sheets will be available before the end of the year. However, we need your help. I'd like to collect everyone's mattress sizes to understand which sizes are most commonly used, so we can release different sizes of the new sheets in batches. If it's convenient, please leave a comment with your mattress size or send us a message! Thank you!

In addition, although the typhoon signal has weakened, it is still Typhoon Signal No. 8. Everyone should stay at home as much as possible and be careful!

If you're interested and are browsing here, you can email support@repillow.co to tell me the length and width of your mattress so we can compile statistics and research to see what sizes we've made.

That's all for this week. See you next week!
