Hello everyone! It's that time of the week again to settle down and write something down. Let me tell you about what happened this week.
Record and manage inventory (advanced version)
I've recently started learning about inventory management and wanted to write it down. Previously, my inventory management was very basic, a "beginner's level" approach — trying to avoid stockouts. However, until about six months ago, there weren't any standardized rules for achieving this. Basically, I just replenished whatever was available, lacking a comprehensive method for weekly measurement of replenishment frequency and quantity. Now, starting a month ago, I'm trying to maintain stock with more data and data analysis , such as tracking average monthly sales, and doing it seriously using Excel .
Do it with the best heart
Today is August 17 , 2024. Re Pillow Co. is still a small brand with few followers and little influence. I am just an ordinary person, and in the process of building Re Pillow Co. , up to this moment, there have been many times when I doubted myself and didn't know what to do. I know that if one day the scale is larger, some people may not like me, there may be many more challenges, and many more sad and anxious nights. I know that even if I do my best, I may not succeed, and it may end in failure. But before all of that happens, I want to tell everyone that I will do it with the kindest and best heart, as if we are all trying together.
Starting a business is like dating and getting married.
If you ask me to look back on the past few years, I think starting a business is actually like dating and getting married. At the beginning, you don't really know the person; you don't know if they're a good man / woman, but you still go and get to know them. So you go along, and of course, there will be friction and many unexpected, unforeseen things that need to be resolved. It's a constant process of learning and exploring. You don't need to worry about any of this before starting a business, because there's no way to plan or predict. Sometimes, you don't need to overcomplicate things. It's also possible that even with your best efforts, you might not succeed. Therefore, remember, "Man proposes, God disposes." Do your best, do your best, but learn to face everything calmly.
Key handover at East Point City, Tseung Kwan O
This week, I also handed over the keys to the East Point City management office in Tseung Kwan O, officially starting the shop renovation work. If everything goes smoothly, we tentatively plan to open in late September .
