(Due to the approaching end of the year and the ongoing sales, I've been very busy with work lately. This weekly journal entry is a few days late. Late, but never absent.) This week, we just had our annual BLACKOUT SALE, so work was quite hectic. During this time, I had to manage inventory, handle shipments, and also do various updates—it was a busy period. But it's only once a year, so it's not a problem. It's unreasonable not to work hard when you're young, especially since I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to 30 (just a few more years to go). I feel like I'm no longer a fresh graduate… There are so many younger people behind me, and I'm starting to realize that my own life will pass by very quickly, in the blink of an eye. Therefore, I need to seize the opportunity and work hard.
Diligent work is essential. I feel that too many people in society still cling to the old ways of doing things, thinking "that's enough," when in reality they are far from meeting their own limits. I don't blame people for not being able to fully dedicate themselves to work because of children or family members, but I think most people are still far from being able to balance family life. For example, someone might be capable of doing 90, but because they want to spend more time with their children or other personal life, they only do 80%, which I think is understandable. But the problem is that many times people only do 60. I think that's not good—the reality is that we need to be responsible not only for our families but also for our customers. Because the products we provide affect other people's lives, we should strive to do better and work even harder. Actually, I know that only I know how hard I've worked (though thinking about it, some of my colleagues and customers do know, and I'm very grateful to some of them for sometimes caring about whether I'm getting enough rest), but I think that's the meaning of life. I often think of the stick figure who breaks through: burning himself to help others.
Of course, don't talk about how great I am; I also get paid.
Moreover, while the concept is good, the product itself must also be good. Colleague support and ensuring a good customer experience are all crucial. You also need to learn how to calculate, manage the company, and break even. Don't even talk about profit; at least don't go bankrupt because you can't sustain yourself. Only then can you talk about the long term, and only then can you truly dedicate yourself and contribute to the world. You can't say that just because you have the best ideas and the best heart to do something, you can ignore everything else.
Realistically, sometimes no one cares about your hard work and best intentions behind the scenes. This is because many businessmen have betrayed our trust. We trusted them, but we were deceived, and we gradually learn to be less trusting of others. Therefore, I think it's essential to excel in all aspects to attract them first. Then, gradually, others will understand, and eventually, they will increasingly recognize and support you. Moreover, starting out often doesn't guarantee success, so it's about progressing and improving step by step. I hope that one day, when I look back at this article, I'll feel that all the effort was worthwhile.
