This week, Lok Fu opened a store. On the first day of opening, I took a photo in the store. There happened to be a mother and daughter taking photos. The child dragged her mother in and rushed in. How wonderful!
I've talked with other small and medium-sized business owners about how their businesses are doing. Sometimes, talking to many different people, I've gradually come to realize that their inner qualities are reflected in their outward behavior and influence the final results. For example, if someone only thinks about themselves in business, without considering whether their actions are good for society, fair to consumers/others, or whether there are ways to benefit everyone, they usually won't go far. However, if someone acts from the heart, considers the feelings of others, and acts for the good of society, regardless of the difficulties they encounter or the hardships they endure, I believe they will ultimately be more successful.
In recent years, I've seen too many dishonest people who only care about short-term profits, or who try to package and embellish things to sell, or who want to gain status and recognition. I advise them not to do that, because it won't end well—everything must be done step by step and truly done well to go far. At first, few people may see the true nature of things, but eventually, someone will notice. For example, some bosses treat their colleagues poorly; perhaps no one would have said anything before, but in today's information age, the truth will eventually come out. Therefore, it's better to be a good person, even if it's slower, at least you're doing things in a way that's fair to yourself and others. You might not do well along the way! Nobody's perfect, but at least the general direction should be correct. If you still fail in the end, then there's really nothing you can do.
