This week's journal entry!

Another week has passed! Let me get to this deserted spot and do some work first! What's happened this week?

The beginning of this week was quite tough, but it got better towards the end. Let me explain:

Sunday's unexpected turn of events turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

On Sunday afternoon, while I was working at home as usual (I was drafting a contract for a future collaboration with three other companies on a research and development product), I suddenly received a call from a colleague who had discovered a problem at the store and asked how to handle it. The problem was so serious that I had to drop everything and go out to resolve it. It was resolved in about a day or two; I won't go into details, but it was significantly less serious than initially thought. I immediately arranged for my colleague to finish it on Monday. The problem is now solved, but because it revealed an area for improvement, we will begin implementing a better solution in the next week or two. Although it will increase costs, it will not only prevent similar problems but also allow us to improve further.

Friends joined, freeing up time for development

This week also marked the arrival of two of my friends at Re Pillow Co. I'm happy that over the past few days, we've all gotten the hang of things. Now we have more help with customer service, communication, and daily shipping, so it feels like we're not doing everything alone anymore, which has been a huge help. This frees up time to do things like writing articles, researching products, developing partnerships, and working on new projects, such as opening stores and more retail outlets... These are all very important things, but in the past, I was always busy handling daily affairs, spending most of the day just on routine operations, and there were always unexpected events to deal with, making it difficult to have time for future development. In the latter half of this week, things started to improve, and I had more time to develop the future of Re Pillow Co.

Extremely busy, thinking about how to use time

Last month, I finished all my exams and officially started working full-time at Re Pillow Co., but I feel even busier than before. I'm basically working every day, and even when I'm walking or doing other things, I'm thinking about Re Pillow Co. Sometimes I work past midnight, but in order to ship on time every morning and ensure that more customers receive their products faster, I get up around 6 a.m. every morning to exercise, and then rush back to the company to process the daily orders. As a result, I've been very tired and sleepy in the afternoons quite a few times. I've read a book called the 80/20 Principle and realize that my current approach is unhealthy and unwise in terms of using time effectively, so this is something I need to improve in the coming weeks. I need to figure out how to use my time so that Re Pillow Co.'s customers can benefit.

Preparing Re Pillow 2 XL (tentative name)

I've only heard about the Re Pillow 2 XL long pillow (also known as a cuddly pillow) and believe it will be launched within two weeks to a month, but I'll tentatively estimate a month later. This pillow will likely be unveiled for the first time around mid-March. Our final sample is ready. This week, all necessary materials, accessories, and packaging are prepared, and some processes have even begun, resulting in a batch of semi-finished products. I believe that if everything goes smoothly, the first batch can be launched in 2-4 weeks, with production continuing as sales progress. Regarding dimensions, aside from the length being 3 feet, the width, height, and other dimensions are the same as the existing Re Pillow 2 pillow. I am currently preparing images and descriptions, and creating its dedicated webpage.

More stores/popups?

This week I also made some progress regarding the stores, but this must be kept confidential for now. I hope you can understand that it's inconvenient for me to disclose this information publicly. If the current Taikoo Shing Experience Center is Store 1.0, we have already begun preparing for 2.0 and 3.0. Drawing on the experience of the current 1.0, I believe that the future versions will be even better.
