(The photo shows the first shipment in eco-friendly packaging on Saturday morning.)

Welcome to this week's journal! This week, we started implementing eco-friendly packaging, translated and organized our website, improved the experience at the Taikoo Shing Experience Center, and are preparing for more plans over the next six months. Welcome to our journal.

This week's journal entry will be shorter because much of what I've been doing involves information about future new products, which I want to keep secret until later. However, I have still accomplished the following:

#1 Eco-friendly packaging

First, we're starting to roll out our eco-friendly packaging. We'll begin with the standard-sized Re Pillow 2 pillow for adults, and if the response is positive, we'll gradually expand to other products. The new packaging might seem like just a change of materials, but it's actually more complex than that. Since this is my weekly journal entry, I'll elaborate a bit! Firstly, this cardboard is completely recyclable. Secondly, and more importantly, we've chosen a slightly sturdier paper thickness to withstand impacts during delivery. Previously, when using the white box (the classic packaging), we had to add a second brown box for protection during delivery, resulting in two boxes – which wasn't environmentally friendly. This is true for many different products. For example, if you buy something online like a mobile phone or tablet, they often ship it in a white box plus a brown box. While this protects the white box perfectly, it wastes an extra box. Therefore, our eco-friendly version uses a sturdy cardboard box, which can be used in one box for direct delivery without the need for an outer box, saving more than half of the paper consumption. Especially since many people probably just throw away these pillow packaging boxes after buying them, we really shouldn't waste them.

#2 "Environmental Policy" page

On a side note: As we gradually accumulated experience, we came across several different environmental policies. To make it easier to review them all at once, I've compiled them into a single environmental policy document. You can click on the links at the bottom of the website to view it. Wow, it really feels like a big company! (laughs) Although actually, we're just pretending to be a big company ...

#3 Update the website and the "Join Us" page

Secondly, regarding the website, I updated some different parts this week, updating some old information and adding a new "Join Us" section. There are still links at the bottom of the website where you can apply for job openings. However, we haven't posted them on social media or other job-hunting platforms yet, but that might change later. For now, we're just keeping one page here for preparation. We really hope some interested people will join us. Looking forward to you contacting me!

#4 Another English version of the website

In addition, I've been translating the website into English this week. Actually, we used to have an English website, but we restructured it with a new architecture in May of this year, so the English website is no longer available. Of course, I have backups of the old pages, and those translations can be reused. However, there have been many new pages and introductions in the past three months, so I'm translating them. I hope to be able to launch the English version of the website within a month!

#5 Taikoo City Experience Center

Regarding the Taikoo Shing Experience Center, we implemented some new changes this week. For example, previously, when customers were trying out pillows, we didn't have a small table for them to put their backpacks and personal belongings, so we recently added one, which should make things much more convenient. Also, because we've increased our product range, we've added a new display case and more space to store stock, increasing supply. Additionally, our design department has designed some introductory brochures that we plan to print, so customers can pick them up at the Taikoo Shing Experience Center to read and learn about our products. These should be printed and available in the store next week. There are also other improvements to the details, such as possibly adding more "Caution: Steps" warnings, but I won't go into those here.

I have other things to do this week. But because it concerns a new product, I'll keep it a secret for now. See you next week!
