Welcome to this week's Re Pillow Diary! I'm here again to share what happened this week! First thing to mention is the renovation of the new store: I believe those who have been following our diary know that the new store has actually been in preparation for some time, and this week it was just handed over and the renovation began.

#1 New Store Renovation

However, during the renovation process that started this week, we encountered quite a few problems. For example, we don't actually have a designer; I'm the only one responsible for designing and drawing up the plans. These designs and floor plans need to be submitted to the shopping mall for approval before renovations begin. But I'm really not a professional, and this week the mall "turned their back" because my drawings weren't up to par (it's true! I was immediately stunned when I saw the designs from other companies; I realized how far behind they were. They had very professional lines, lighting layouts, air ducts, etc., while mine was just a very ordinary floor plan). So this week I had to temporarily hire professionals to assist. It really shows that running something isn't easy! It involves many different people. Although we want to save money, professionals are professionals after all. My own skills are limited. No matter how well I know Photoshop and Illustrator , there are some professional knowledge I really lack. So, I really have to ask outsiders for help. This week, I've spent some time dealing with these things, drawing up plans, hiring people, and contacting various parties. I hope the renovation can proceed smoothly and the shop can open smoothly.

The new shop will feel more like a shop compared to the Taikoo Shing Experience Center, with better amenities and a nice, small interior. However, due to budget constraints, we're doing our best, as I don't want to spend too much money on things that don't actually help our customers.

#2 New Product Development Progress

In addition, I spent a lot of time this week researching materials for new products. While the current product is the best I've made so far, it's not perfect and can be improved. Therefore, this week I've been sourcing different materials to research new products and discussing collaborations with various companies, hoping to introduce better materials and technologies. To make ourselves proud . Actually, Re Pillow 's materials are unique; they're our own invention, something many people may not know, and I rarely talk about it. I hope to do better and better, and most importantly, not just talk about it, but for our customers to feel and witness our progress. It will be difficult, but I hope to achieve it.

I don't think the world needs me to do things that everyone else does, or products / technologies that already exist. I feel that this way, there's no way to truly help make the world a better place. Of course, what I should do is something that contributes to society, something that makes human life better and brings progress. It sounds like something noble, but I'm just an ordinary person. I'm not that great; I simply want to do my best and fulfill my responsibilities.

#3 Development and Economy

Anyone who's been following Hong Kong news knows that the economy has been really bad for the past month or two. This has directly impacted our plans and income, and it will also affect the development of our fledgling brand. Honestly, I'm quite worried, afraid of making a mistake at every step, which has made us more cautious and take things slowly. I don't want to say too much about this, but in short, the situation isn't good, but we can only try our best.
