In the past few weeks, I've had various opportunities to meet and chat with people from different companies and industries, and I've started to get to know a lot of different people.
Or perhaps I should go back and give a little background. For the past four years, I've been quite lonely. I tend to decline invitations and try to meet different people; I prefer to do things alone. Firstly, I'm not a very sociable person. I prefer to be myself, the kind of person who hides in a room and does research. The same applies to Re Pillow. I feel like I'm working in a small corner, somewhat like the concept of "seclusion" in Chinese dynasties—avoiding worldly strife, being able to be a self-contained world, quietly being myself, having my own little universe within a small place.
However, this method also has its problems – it can hinder development. The world is vast, and making friends is important. This method might work initially, but in the long run, it will cause you to miss many opportunities. Because of my work, I've gradually come to know different opportunities and people, and I've started to proactively get to know more of them, instead of hiding in my own little corner. While I'm primarily a product manager and I have great faith in the company, the most important thing is still how well the product is made. However, there are many things outside of the product that need to be considered, and as the company leader, I need to guide the company's development in these areas as well, allowing the product to reach more people. I hope this will also contribute to the company's growth.
Because there are too many uncertainties, I cannot say who I will be meeting, but at least I know that there may be more different collaborations in the future.
