Hello everyone, welcome to this weekly journal. I'm Ryan, and I'll continue writing my journal. This Monday morning, I received some very bad news, the most troublesome and difficult situation I've encountered at Re Pillow so far. I really can't say too much until it's resolved, but rest assured, at this point, I can only leave this matter to my lawyers. This incident is also unrelated to the product, brand, or anything we do.

As I slowly embarked on this path of wanting to make good bedding and create a small world of products that I myself would want to use, I realized that making a good product is not just about making a good product; there are many, many other things to take care of.

For example, you need to rent a shop in the most convenient location for customers with the most limited cost. When you arrive, you need to know how to protect your inventions, not to be too trusting of others, and to make sure all terms are clearly written down and witnessed by someone... You can feel that I am in a lot of pain right now. But I promise you and I know I will come back stronger . I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and with meaning , and that as long as you are willing to face everything with a "courage to grow" mindset, they will all be opportunities for you to do better.

I'd like to elaborate a few more points.

1. Re Pillowcase mini

This week we finished the Re Pillowcase mini, a pillowcase specifically designed for the Re Pillow 2 mini, and it will be released soon. So, even the mini version can have a pillowcase! It should be released next week . I'll post about it on Facebook/IG before the release. Many mini users have asked about it, and I've probably emailed customers who bought the mini version to let them know it's available. Actually, it was finished a week or two earlier, but a part on the iron broke (yes, we use commercial irons, and when one breaks, we don't buy a replacement like we do with home irons; we order a spare and fix it ourselves). Because we didn't have the iron, it couldn't iron properly, and there's no reason for it to be wrinkled. So we had to wait until we had a spare part to fix it before releasing it.

2. The difficulties of small companies

Lately, I've increasingly realized that as a small company, our resources for making mistakes are far less than those of larger corporations. A small mistake could instantly cripple us, or even be fatal . This is a very serious topic, not just idle talk. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why large corporations "monopolize." Furthermore, being a small company means less experience, fewer talented individuals, and less business acumen compared to larger enterprises, making it truly difficult. I think we're fortunate that many customers spontaneously recommend our products to friends and family, which has helped us a great deal. We know this, as we don't know how much advertising and promotion we do; much of it comes from word-of-mouth. I know I've felt this way many times, but I truly want to thank everyone again for their support .

3. Project A

Project A (see: https://repillow.co/blogs/weekly/011-14-08-2022, point six discusses that project) has also seen breakthrough developments and should hopefully be released as early as six months later (early 2023). This is a completely new project, something we've never done before. I understand that honestly, without all the details, it's really difficult to discuss , but I believe this will be a very important event in the history of Re Pillow Co. The most significant thing I think has happened to Re Pillow Co. in the past two years is the launch of Re Pillow 2. Re Pillow 2 changed my mind; I was almost ready to give up on making pillows. I believe Project A will also be a major event , and I will gradually reveal more about it before next year.

By the time you read my weekly journal next week, the Re Pillowcase mini should have been released (hopefully). I'll write more then.

A new retail location may also be announced next week. This will be Re Pillow Co.'s third retail outlet, following the Yata Plaza in Sha Tin and the Taikoo Shing Experience Center.
