#163 About Entrepreneurship (5) (20/07/2025)
I've met quite a few men older than me, mostly in their 30s and 40s, in different settings. They started their own businesses when I was probably in my 20s and are still here today. Of course, everyone's industry and stage of work are different, but it's true that many of them didn't see any "progress" in their careers until quite late, maybe in their 40s. It's later than their peers, but they've continued and haven't given up.
#162 The deeper the pain, the more you gain (13/07/2025)
No one likes pain, but lately I've undeniably come to realize that in many things in life, the more unforgettable the pain and suffering, the more unbearable the torment, the better for me personally...
#161 New Pop-up at Tuen Mun Town Plaza (06/07/2025)
I've been incredibly busy lately because I'm preparing for a pop-up store to open next week in Tuen Mun Town Plaza. Although it's a short-term rental pop-up, it's still a shop unit, so there's a fair amount of space and plenty of room to work on.
#160 BlackBerry's Business Story (29/06/2025)
This week I watched a movie called BlackBerry (2023), which is a documentary about the origin and decline of BlackBerry mobile phones.
#159 Everyone's Responsibility (22/06/2025)
This week I'll talk about something that seems a bit off-topic, but it's actually based on some insights I gained from things I encountered at work.
Many customers have asked if we could add floral sheets to the solid colors and cartoon collaborations, giving them more options. Of course, no problem! That's exactly what I wanted to achieve – I wanted to make it convenient for different people to enjoy new sheets, and also to be able to use the sheets they want, or the collaboration series they like – allowing them to showcase their personal style and be modern while solving the problem of changing sheets. Because it's sometimes difficult to budget for these things, I've learned a lesson over the past few years: don't rush to give a date before it's really confirmed and finished, so I haven't mentioned it until this weekend. And this weekend, it can finally officially debut!
Due to work, I watched The Little Prince (2015) for the first time this week. Judging from the movie poster, it seems like it's for children, but after watching it, I realized it's not at all.
#156 New Base, Home Furnishing Expo, Shop Visits, Expanding Friends Abroad (01/06/2025)
At the North Point store, we received a Foamboard gifted to us by the Dustykid team, which was especially beautiful.
#155 Reflections on the Trial Run of the Old Bed Sheet Collection Project (25/05/2025)
Speaking of which, we just launched a used bed sheet collection campaign this week, and the response was pretty good. This used bed sheet collection campaign was a collaboration with the SAA (Society for the Protection of Abandoned Animals). We'd actually been wanting to do it for a while, but unfortunately, work got busy, and there were various stock shortages...
